Yay for Bobby Jindal...88% of the vote.
What the hell is it with Jefferson, though? 34% of the people voted
for him? People that only voted for him because he's black? Don't they
see what a crooked shit he is? I just don't get it.
All amendments passed. Hmm. Makes me wonder if people just went in and
hit "yes" without thinking about it. Democracy in action.

I think those that voted for Dollar Bill are loyal and just saying they'll "stay the course".

The glass is not empty but half full; in fact, more than 2/3 full. 7 out of every 10 voters did not vote for the long--term incumbent. That is very positive news. Forget the 30% of voters who can't get past skin color or whatever favor they got from Jefferson. I'm feeling good about this outcome.
I don't think it's people hitting For without thinking about the votes as much as they are sick of government waste, corruption and what they see as extraneous taxes. Sometimes, it involves throwing the baby out with the bathwater, especially if it means less money spent in state taxes come April. What people see: Cleaning up our act. What people hear: Cha-ching!
I too am cautiously optomistic.
