7 Years

Mother Nature has a warped sense of humor, bringing Isaac in on this date. Please keep the residents of Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes in your prayers, as they are flooded seven years to the day after they were devastated from Katrina.

Greetings from the west coast! Keeping you all there in prayer for safety. I was searching for information about St. Genevieve's Church in Slidell and found your blog. Our church donated all of the pews for the new church and people were asking me yesterday how the church was doing with Isaac. Do you have any information, or could you even post some new pics of the church there? While it may seem like paradise here on the West Coast now, just remember us too as we are about a month away from our fire season. Or as we like to say here on the WC we have three seasons: Tourist Season, Flood Season and Fire Season. Grace! Beth

Judy! Thank you so very much!!! Wow. Yesterday I preached at our church at LPC (www.lagunapreschurch.org) and I would have loved to have passed this along, but I will do that via our eConnections this coming Friday. I did not see the photos on your blog post and thank you for sending the link to me. We sure would LOVE to see some pictures of the inside of the new church. I'm so very thankful that they were able to rebuild and immensely thankful that they made it through Isaac without any problems. Great, great news! Do you know of any way to see pictures of the interior? Happy labor day!

Monday Morning Smile
