James E. Delancey of Gulfport, MIssissippi. A waste of oxygen, this drunk apparently passed out on Hwy 190 in Covington.
Here's the story:
Deputy Kerry Snaples, 22, of Ponchatoula, died at about 4:20 a.m. Sunday when his motorcycle struck a pickup that was stopped in the westbound lane of U.S. 190 near Covington High School. The Sheriff's Office did not release the deputy's identity Sunday because of difficulty contacting his family.
....the impact knocked the truck into a side ditch. The truck's tail lights were not on, and he says its dark gold and gray paint would have been difficult to see on the dark highway.
Covington Police, who are investigating the case, booked the driver of the pickup, James E. Delancey Jr., 37, of Gulfport, Miss., with vehicular homicide, DWI and driving with a suspended license.
Delancey's blood alcohol level was "several times" the legal limit and he admitted to taking prescription opiates before driving, Covington Police spokesman Lt. Jack West said Sunday.
Condolences to Officer Snaples' family.

Where is the justice for the victim in this? No wonder our neighborhoods are riddled with drugs and violence. We have to live in fear or take a stand, but at what cost? Could it be at the cost of our own life and our families who are targets because the law sits idle.
I hope Kerry Snaples' family is allowed to have some peace in all of this and that God will bless them.My condolences go out to them. I know I would not want to have to face a death in my family because of a man like James Delancey. Someone who is careless and stupid with no regard for human life or the life of his own children. They were reported to be in the truck when the collision happened.
i would like to say thank you for posting this blog up. Deputy Snaples is my brohter. I miss him very much and reading srticles and blogs that have his name in it is a huge honor. However, please do not speak ill of the other party. It has been almost one year and 5 months. The other party is still innocent till proven guilty. It is part of the justice system. I would love to say some things about the other party, but it would not be neccessary to saymean and hurtful things when both parties are feeling guilty. So as of right now I am turning a blind eye towards the whole matter. Kerry was a free spirit and will continue to live in my heart along with our mother and father's heart. Thank you for your prayers
I am sure the other party is feeling guilty, but the fact remains the other party still drinks and drives. Someone else could be hurt or killed as long as this is allowed to continue. It maybe some other person's child or brother.Where is the justice in that, I'm not knocking the other party but he is an adult, and knows the consequences of his actions which are none yet.
