Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.) on Tuesday called for BP America President Lamar McKay to resign, while Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La.) suggested BP executives' fate would have been even worse in another place and time.

"Mr. Stearns asked Mr. McKay to resign; well, in the Asian culture we do things differently," said Cao, a Vietnamese-American who represents a New Orleans area district. "During the Samurai days, we just give you a knife and ask you to commit harakiri" - a form of Japanese ritual suicide.

Crazy stuff coming out of politicians these days. Then again with all the anti-BP sentiment out there it's pretty smart to talk hard on that subject in an election year.
Mr. Cao probably isn't running again. I don't think this was political, just his feelings.
